  • Folehaven bicycle and pedestrian bridge is the latest addition to Dissing+Weitling’s family of bicycle and pedestrian bridges in Copenhagen. Like the others, this bridge will help improve road safety and green transport in the city, and it will make a mark in both its location and appearance.

  • The bridge over Folehaven has been designed as an integral part of the park. With its location at the end of the Holbæk motorway, the bridge is like a west-facing city gate to Copenhagen. It constitutes a transition, and despite its pronounced structure, it has a light, floating expression. When you see the bridge, you know you are in Copenhagen.

The eye-catching appearance of the bridge is due to a reverse Fink grid structure in which the steel pylons incline outwards and reach up into the sky in different lengths, as if they were branches on trees in the park. It is almost as if they are floating without support, making a kind of stylised landscape. At night, the tops of the masts light up and cause the bridge to glow.
